Operation Room Nurse

Job description

Seeking a qualified and experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing.

Responsibility

• Assessing patients' condition prior to surgery and alleviating their concerns
• Gathering all supplies needed for the operation; Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Ensures operating rooms are clean and sterile while preparing for the procedures.
• Position and prepare patient on operating table.
• Responsible for keeping patients safe during surgery by providing care before, during, or after surgeries.
• Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies.
• Evaluate patient in postoperative phases.
• Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
• Adhere to safety standards and precautions.
• Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned.
• After a procedure, should ensure the operating room is appropriately cleaned and stable for patients.
• Should always stay organized so that everything runs smoothly on their watch.
• Collaborate to ensure operating areas are clean and patients are cared for adequately.
• Communicate with patients, teammates, and doctors/surgeon to ensure continuity of care.
